Gov. Okowa mourns Justice Ohwo, Ebikagboro
Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed grief over the sudden demise of the Administrative Judge of the Ughelli Judicial Division, Hon. Justice Franklin Ohwo.
In a statement on Saturday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, Governor Okowa said he received with sadness and an immense feeling of great loss, the news of the death of the late Justice Ohwo.
According to the Governor, "the late Justice Franklin Ohwo was an epitome of integrity, an accomplished jurist, incorruptible judge and fearless dispenser of justice.
"Justice Ohwo, left indelible footprints on the sands of justice, chiefly among was the locus classicus judgment he delivered on the illegality of road worthiness certificate.
"On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I join the Honourable Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Marshal Umukoro, the legal profession and the entire Delta State Judiciary in mourning the late incorruptible judge.
In a related development, Governor Okowa has also expressed sadness over the untimely death of Sports journalist and one time Media Officer of the National Under-23 Team, Mr Timi Ebikagboro.
Governor Okowa described the late Ebikagboro, a former Chairman of the Delta State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), as a committed journalist who approached his job with truth and served the State and country diligently.
“As we mourn his painful and untimely departure, I pray that God will bring solace to his family who will miss him the most and grant him eternal rest."
The Governor also condoled with the Management and staff of Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, Nigeria Union Journalists, (NUJ) Delta State Council, the Nigerian Football Federation as well as his fans all over the world.
"May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
