Dr. (Barr.) Bibobra Bello Orubebe

DR. (Barr.) Bibobra Bello Orubebe was born on May 28, 1968 at Enekorogha in Brutu LGA of Delta State. He hails from Ogbobagbene-Tuomo Town,Brutu LGA.

Dr. Orubebe attended Government Collage Bomadi, were he had his west African Examination Council certificate in 1980. He later obtained a LL.B (Hons) at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nkpolu, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State in 1994. He later proceeded for further studies and in 2001 obtained a LL.M from the American University, Washington Collage of Law, in International Legal Studies Programmed (ILSP) and majored in international environmental law and policy.

Thereafter, a Doctorate Degree in Judicial science known as Doctor of Judicial Science (S.J.D.) in the same Institution and dissertation major in International Legal/Environmental Implications of oil and Gas Exploitation in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.

He Lectured Environmental Law and Policy at the Faculty of Law, Oleh Campus, Delta State University between 2003 and 2005. He was a visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa, Ontario Canada. He authored several articles on Environmental Law and Policy and also published in land use and sustainable development law and policy-LUNC Cambridge University press in 2006.He also presented Commissioned and Research Papers. He is a Human and Environmental Rights Activist.

Dr. Orubebe is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA).He has several awards including the Federation of African and Asian Insurers and Reinsurers Books Articles (F.A.I.R.) Award in 1987. He was until his present appointment, a full time member, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in 15th June, 2009.
