Okowa Says Tourism Is An Untapped Goldmine In Delta


Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has described the tourism industry as an untapped goldmine.

The governor who commissioned an ultra-modern hotel, Hotel De Copperfield in Asaba, today (29/11/2016) observed that apart from being rich in mineral and material resources, the tourism industry in the state is a huge money spinner that needs to be tapped.

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has described the speedy completion of the Asaba City Mall as clear signal that the state was investors-friendly.

Okowa Spends N32 Billion On Road Construction


In line with his determination to make life better for Deltans, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's administration has spent over N32 billion on road construction, the Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye has said.

RECESSION: Okowa Takes measures To Ensure Food Security


Towards tackling recession-induced hunger, Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has acquired three thousand, eight hundred and fifty hectares of farmland.

The Governor also has encouraged the establishment of rice processing mills to support the existing ones as the cultivation of the staple food has increased in the state while fish farmers have been encouraged to triple their production of twenty-four thousand, four hundred and thirteen metric tonnes of fish production as recorded in 2016.

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has urged community stakeholders particularly traditional institutions to engage in peace building in their areas for development to thrive.

Speaking at the weekend in Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Area during the Grand finale of the 10th Coronation Anniversary celebration  of His Royal Majesty Orhue 1, Orodje of Okpe kingdom, Senator Okowa said that only a peaceful environment would bring development and investment to our society.
