Road, Education Get Large Chunk Of Delta State 2017 Budget


Despite the economic down turn in the country, Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has earmarked the sum of one hundred and nineteen billion, one million naira (N119.001bn) for capital expenditure for the 2017 fiscal year with road infrastructure billed to gulp the sum of N35 billion.

As part of efforts to ensure a more organised city, the Delta State Governor, Senator, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has performed the  ground breaking for a multi-million naira ultra modern mechanic village in Asaba.

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated the new board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on their successful  inauguration by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu said the people of the Niger Delta appreciates President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing credible leaders from the region to run the affairs of the Board which has been without a board for quite some time now.

Gov. Okowa Commiserates With RATTAWU Over Odugala's death


Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed deep sympathy to the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) and the Odugala family of Oleh in Isoko South LGA of Delta State over the death of their General Secretary and father, late Comrade Henry Odugala.

In a statement by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, Governor Okowa said he was deeply touched by the death of Comrade Odugala a well known and respected media practitioner and labour leader in the country.
