Okowa, Wabba, Others, Attend Ofoyeano's Burial


It was a solemn celebration of the Holy Mass today (04/11/16) as the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa joined the President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba and other labour leaders to bid Comrade David Ofoeyeno a final goodbye.

Comrade Ofoeyeno until his passage to the great beyond at the age of 53 was the Chairman of NLC, Delta State Council.

Budget Re-alignment: Delta Assembly Receives N11bn Amendment Bill


A motion for a bill for the realignment of the 2016 approved budget was yesterday presented during plenary of the Delta State House of Assembly.

The bill which is essentially an amendment seeks to reorder the sum of N2.12 billion from specific sub-heads of the recurrent expenditure and the sum of N9.945 billion from specific sub-heads of the capital expenditure of the Delta State Appropriation Law, 2016 to augment some other specific sub-heads of the over-head cost, consolidated revenue fund charges and capital expenditure.

God's Work Cannot Come To An End - Gov Okowa


Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said the work of God cannot come to an end  so Christians should not relent in contributing towards God's projects.

Speaking at the 2016 harvest thanksgiving service cum fund raising ceremony of St. Michael's Anglican Church, Owa-Alero, Ika North-East local government area of the state, Senator Okowa who was the chairman of the ceremony emphasized that Christians should show strength in whatever they do because of God's blessing.
