CJ Declares 42 Working Days (Six Weeks) Vacation for High Court Judges

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly Deltans that pursuant to Directions under sections 35 and 36 of the High Court, Cap H3, Volume 3, Laws of Delta State 2016, the Chief Judge of Delta State, Honourable Marshal Umukoro has declared a 42 working days (six weeks) vacation for the High Court of Delta State.

The Vacation shall commence from Tuesday August 1, to Wednesday September 27, 2017.

Accordingly, vacation Judges are hereby assigned to hear and determine urgent matters/ cases/ suits during the vacation period as follows:-
1. Hon. Justice Michael Nduka Obi: - sitting in the High Court of Justice, Warri for Delta South Senatorial District. 
2. Hon. O. Jalogho-Williams: - sitting in the High Court of Justice, Effurun for Delta Central Senatorial District. 
3. Hon. Justice Marcel Chukwunnedum Okoh: - sitting in the High Court of Justice Asaba, for Delta North Senatorial District. 

            Legal practitioners, litigants and the general public are to note and take necessary action.

            The 2017/2018 Legal Year shall commence on Thursday the 28th day of September, 2017.
