Gov Sheriff congratulates Solomon Ogba at 65
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Chief Solomon Ogba, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, celebrated on May 1.
Governor Sheriff in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, praised Chief Ogba for his numerous outstanding contributions to the development of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
He acknowledged Ogba’s remarkable impact on sports and politics across Delta, Nigeria, and Africa, noting that his involvement in sports administration over the past three decades has been nothing short of transformative.
Describing Ogba as a distinguished sports administrator and politician, the Governor highlighted his tenure as Delta State’s Commissioner for Sports, during which the state’s sports sector experienced unprecedented development and innovations.
“Chief Ogba’s leadership in both politics and sports is commendable and worthy of emulation. Under his guidance, Delta consistently triumphed at the National Youth Games and the National Sports Festival.
“A seasoned professional in sports administration and public service, Ogba has nurtured countless elite athletes and leaders, bringing pride to Delta, Nigeria and Africa through his dedication to excellence in sports.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate you, Chief Solomon Omamoezi Ogba, on your 65th birth anniversary. We thank Almighty God for your exceptional life and legacy, celebrated not only by your family and the Isoko people but also by friends, admirers, and partners around the world.
