Chukwueweniwe Nicholas Ojei
Impressively, Chukwueweniwe Nicholas Ojei has been involved in the delivery of high end state and national development tasks from a relatively young age.
Born on 11 July, 1981, from Aniocha North LGA, he began his formal education at the American International School, Victoria Island, Lagos, from where he proceeded to the Institut Le Rosey Rolle, Switzerland, for High School Diploma, 1995-1998.
He advanced to Northeastern University – College of Business Administration, Boston, Massachusetts, for a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with focus on Marketing/International Business/Management/Finance and Insurance, 1998-2004, and followed up with Masters In Administrative Studies, with concentration on Financial Economics, at the Boston University – Metropolitan College, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
His early work experiences were at Mazda Corporation, Nigeria, 2001, as Administrative Assistant, later Manager, 2001; also Assistant Manager at Emo Oil and Petrochemical Company Ltd, Abuja, 2004; and Marketing and Promotions Intern at Space Entertainment, Boston, Massachusetts, 2005.
While he also devoted time to family business, Nuel Ojei Holding, in Abuja and Asaba, which saw him manage various responsibilities in real estate, automobiles and human resource, he was engaged with Hypertech Nigeria, Abuja, local content partners of the Mambilla 3050mw Hydro Electricity Power Project.
He was involved in engagements with government officials and institutional partners, such as Nigeria Sovereign Wealth Fund, Nexim Bank and the Finance Sub-committee, on fund raising for the project; coordination with the local content partners, and various other related issues.
In public service, he has been Special Adviser (Special Duties) in the Delta State Government, involved in policy designs and programmes implementation for Job and Wealth Creation; overseeing the implementation of Norsworthy/Delta State Government Farm Project at Akwukwu-Igbo, Kwale Industrial Park (KIP) Project, Egbokodo Skill Acquisition Centre, Agro-Industrial Park, Ogwashi-uku, and was a member of the implementing committee on Artisan Empowerment Grant where over 5,000 artisans were empowered.
A firm political loyalist, Nicholas Ojei has served the Peoples Democratic Party in various capacities, including as member, State Campaign Committee (Research and Strategy Sub-Committee); Aniocha North LGA PDP Campaign Committee in the 2023 general election; Aniocha North Ward 7 PDP Ambassadors (Finance Committee); and Valedictory Committee.
He has functioned in various political pressure groups such as Atiku-Okowa Strategy Group; Patron of Delta My Pride Campaign Group; Deputy Director General of PDP Disciples Campaign Group; and Director of Mobilization, Team Sheriff Campaign Group.
