A consummate community development activist and politician, Hon Griftson Timeyin Omatsuli hails from Ubeji Community, Warri South LGA.

Primary School B, Hussey College, College
of Education, Warri and Delta State University, Abraka, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, he also has a Masters degree in Energy and Petroleum Economics.
Elected Councilor for Ubeji Ward in the 1995/96 political era and re-elected in the 1997 season, he was among the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Warri South LGA through which he was returned as Councillor for the third time and appointed Supervisor for Youth, Sports and Culture, and later Chief Whip of the Legislative Arm.
During the period up to 2002, he also served the council as Chairman, Contract Verification Committee This assignment as well as Chairman, House Committee on Works, Housing and Transportation.
After the stint with the council, he went back to serve as Secretary of Ibeji Community but was re-invited to function as Secretary of the Warri South Local Government Education Authority, between 2009 and 2010.
He was a board member of Itsekiri National Youth Council and, most recently,
Commissioner, representing the Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality in the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission.
